Writing for Resilience – Poetry Therapy Workshop
“No matter how much falls on us, we keep plowing ahead. That’s the only way to keep the roads clear.” Greg Kincaid
Resilience is essentially about how we bounce back from stressful situations without experiencing long term adverse effects.
By directing our gaze towards our resilience, we can gain wisdom from the scrapes and scratches we pick up along the way.
Every fall can teach us how to make the journey better.
Do you want to make further use of the skills you used during tough times?
Do you want to make your journey better?
Do you want to tackle challenges more effectively?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions, and you want to build a personal strategy for resilience, then this workshop is for you.
Let’s explore together and build your resilience using poetry, conversation, and self-reflective writing activities. You will gain an opportunity to refine your path, cultivate confidence and plow ahead whilst keeping the roads clear.
Who is this workshop for?
This experiential workshop is for anyone who wants to be more resilient, who enjoys working with metaphors, journaling, writing for personal development or professional development, or who is interested in using therapeutic writing in their work.
No prior knowledge of poetry or expressive writing is required, just a willingness to share, reflect and experiment with words in a supportive environment.
