Bereavement Counselling can help ease the pain of grief and give you the opportunity to talk about your feelings in a safe and supportive environment. At times it may seem like nothing you say or do can help you to feel better about yourself.
I can help you start your healing process and offer you an opportunity to talk things through with someone who understands the process of grief you are going through. By allowing you to discuss your feelings openly and freely in a safe and supportive environment, I can help you come to terms with the recent or distant lost of a loved one and/or friend.

Losing a loved one is a very traumatic and lonely experience, even when a death is expected. Others might have expected you to re-adjust by now and have got over your loss; However bereavement can have long-lasting effects. We are all unique and grieve in different ways. There is no set way of grieving, and no set time for grieving.
I have counselled many people who have experienced grief, loss and change. And I know from experience that it is possible to integrate this experience of loss into your life so you can begin to live again.
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions and you want to release emotions and find healing in a safe and supportive environment I can help you!

Why I can help you
I have over 16 years experience of helping both men and women cope with the loss of losing their loved ones.
I worked as a counsellor with Victim Support for many years helping families and friends who have lost loved ones through homicide.
I have also worked with people who have been bereaved by suicide.
I am a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) registered/ accredited counsellor and adhere to BACP codes of ethics and good practice.
You will always see one counsellor, me. I work one to one, in Hackney and Camden with my clients so that they can form a trusting relationship in which to work through and discuss issues.
“speaking to Charmaine was really helpful, whilst she was not able to bring back my father, I felt someone truly listened and understood me.
I also recognised that I didn’t need to always appear strong to my family and friends, I needed an opportunity to grieve and talk about my experiences.
Counselling highlighted how I cope with things generally and also gave me some new ways of coping.
Thank you so much – counselling is invaluable.”
